The Department of Home Affairs has published the updated occupation ceilings for the 2018-2019 Skilled Migration Program.
What is an "occupation ceiling"?
An occupation ceiling might be applied to invitations issued under independent, skilled regional (provisional) visas. This means there will be a limit on how many EOIs can be selected for skilled migration to Australia from an occupation group. Once the occupation ceiling limit is reached, there will be no further invitations for that particular occupation group for that skilled migration program year.
Occupation ceilings do not apply to State or Territory Nominated, Employer Sponsored or Business Innovation and Investment Subclasses.
