2.
Can you guarantee that my migration application will be approved?
NO. The Migration Agents Code of Conduct strictly prohibits us
from providing you the guarantee that a migration application will
succeed, and any application, no matter how strong on
paper, can be refused by DIAC. Some of the criteria for the visa
are beyond our control (eg health and character). However it is our
policy not to accept cases that we do not believe will meet or
exceed the minimum requirements. We will endeavour to ensure that your
application is presented in the best possible way. To date we have had a
100% success rate.
3.
How do I know my chances of immigration to Australia?
Our registered migration agents will carefully assess your
eligibility to migrate before we accept your application. We only
represent clients in processing their migration application after
they have passed our preliminary assessment. You can provide your
information by submitting the online skilled
assessment form or our business
skills assessment form or by sending your CV to us.
4 . What
does a skills assessment involve?
Whilst a successful skills assessment is central to an application,
the majority of applicants are not required to take a physical test
given that it is a
paper based assessment. This is undoubtedly the most important
aspect of the migration and if properly prepared is the foundation
of any skilled application.
5.
Would I be eligible to migrate even if my qualifications and work
experience are in different fields?
Yes it is possible, but
in most cases, you will get additional points for work experience,
only if you have work experience in the same field as your
occupation (for which you have been assessed) or in a closely
related field.
6.
Do I need formal qualifications to apply for skilled
migration?
In most cases, applicants will need formal qualifications in order
to pass skills assessment. In particular, for 40 or 50-point
occupations, you will definitely need to hold formal tertiary
qualifications to qualify for skills assessment. However, formal
qualifications are not necessarily required for many 60-point occupations
in the Trades and IT Professional fields.
7. Do you assist with finding jobs?
Yes. Although we are not a recruitment agency we do get a
number of requests from our corporate client base to assist with
filling vacancies.
8. Can you assist me in settlement,
setting up or purchasing fixed property or businesses in Australia?
Yes. Please contact us for details.
9. How long does it take to get the
visa?
The waiting period mainly depends on the type of visa
class you are applying under. For skilled visas applications for
occupations in demand the process can take 9-14 months and other
occupations between 12-18months.
10. Can you handle my case even though I am not in South Africa
or Australia at
present?
Yes. Many of our clients live in other countries and we
communicate by phone, email and fax very effectively. It does not
mater where in the world you are located.
11.
Do I need to pay all the fees upfront?
No. Although many migration agents require the full payment of
fees upfront at Migrate2oz we only require an initial upfront
deposit of approximately R5500 for a skilled
application to commence acting for you. The balance of fees are
invoiced at the end of the process. Please contact us
for details regarding our business visa fees. Also see Procedure
& Fees.
12. Who would be eligible to apply under
the business and investment immigration visas?
Business owners and chief executives of a company may be eligible
for business immigration. Usually, there is a two stage process
involved , whereby if successful a provisional visa is granted for 4
years. Thereafter, you may apply for permanent residency if certain
requirements are met. Please complete the business
skills assessment form for an initial assessment.
13. Once my visa is approved, how long
before I must move downunder?
A permanent residence visa has a date by which your first entry
must be made. This is usually within a year from the date of
your police and medical certificates. This initial entry validates
your visa. Once validated you have a period of 5 years (counted
from date visa granted) to arrive and settle in Australia.
